A recent project for a local food producer who needed to protect their Intermec thermal printers in a wash down area, resulted in a large order from Intermec themselves who were working on a project for a global food processor that needed the same IP66 (NEMA4X) printer enclosure .

The enclosure had an internal roll out tray for ease of maintenance, with a cable management arm to prevent any cables being trapped - something Intermec had never seen in the industry. The enclosure was manufactured from food quality stainless steel and the cables entered the unit via waterproof cable grommets. Protecting the expensive thermal printers from the high power water jets, that are used at the end of every shift to clear the process areas down.

Our custom solution was more cost effective than a standard product from our competitors, we were told by Intermec.
