With more advertising companies using large LCD TV’s to get their marketing point across, the demand for protective TFT enclosures has increased dramatically. These enclosures accommodate the TV or display in a protective environment, so they are away from prying hands!

We recently had a huge project for a UK airport who were installing protective LCD and plasma TV enclosures on the concourses, for digital advertising. The enclosures gave them the added protection form the weather, sot hey could even site them outside.

Our units were chosen due to the flexiblity and the cost effective nature of our products, these can be seen at LCD enclosures and TFT enclosures.

All our stainless steel PC enclosures are now being supplied with rear mount panel fitted keyboards, that are made from stainless steel, this makes the complete enclosure life span much longer as previously we supplied mild steel keyboards with a membrane cover. Unfortunately the life span is around 2 years maximum, the stainless steel keyboards have a minimum of 5 years, increasing the Return on investment.

This is what seperates us from our competitors as well as the cost effective pricing - we are currently offering stainless steel keyboards at the same price of the mild steel units for the next 2 months.

The addition of our Industrial monitor enclosure has proven to be a product not many competitors are offering, our units protects standard TFT monitors up to and including 21″ displays. The units protect the TFT from unauthorized access or abuse and have been located in railway stations to monitor CCTV as well as providing digital signage solutions. The enclosures protect from the weather too and in the UK this is paramount due to the amount of rain we get!

Due to the huge demand, we develped a unit that accommocates an LCD TV up to and including 60″ display. If you ever go to Heathrow airport take a look around and the units you see are ours!

If you want to discuss a particular project, contact us on 0844 8841899 and one of our project managers will be glad to discuss your requirements.

After several enquiries from clients, requesting that we create a product to accommodate their thermal printers, Computer Security & Solutions developed a product that would protect the expensive thermal printers from dust and fluid on the factory floor.

The unit gives access to the printer in 2 areas, firstly the main access door allows the printer to be roll out on the telescopic shelf for label changes etc, whilst the label access door allows the printed labels to be removed without having to open the main door. Then at the end of the shift the door is locked, mainly in wash down areas.

The enclosures are manufactured from both mild steel and stainless steel (for food processing factories). Companies such as Nestle find our products extremely cost effective and flexible. The range includes IP56 (dust and splash proof protection) to IP66 (wash down with high pressure jet).

We developed a protective steel enclosure for accommodating a standard Central Processing Unit (CPU) also known as a PC base unit, the unit is locked with a 7 lever mortise lock, this is more than most house hold insurance companies insist on!

Access is via the front door, once the enclosure is bolted to the floor, there is no way in except with the key! This prevents unauthorised access for employees, or people after stealing the computer! Ideal for protection on the shop floor, college, office or school.

A well known beverage company needed to protect their computers, they were going to be rollout to the shop floor, the main problem was that they needed pc dust enclosures, due to the fine dust from the tea leaf.

Having scowered the internet for hours, they discovered us and we provided an evaluation unit, this unit was approved and the rollout began with 72 enclosurtes for protecting standard computers from dust and fluids to the IP standards. It followed with 32 printer enclosures and 3 LCD enclosures.

Our solutions were very affordable in this lean time and our lead times were only 3 weeks from receipt of order.

If you need help with a project, contact us and a project manager will be glad to work with you on your project.

NEMA x4 is a US standard for protecting electronic items from dust and fluid. The Eueopean comparison is IP65. Our Industrial enclosures for computers are all NEMA and IP rated.

So check them out…if you need more explanation, visit NEMAx4

It’s all relevant to the location of the enclosure and surrounding conditions. As a general IP56 is for dusty environments and IP65 for wash down with high pressure jets (NEMAx4).

Our enclosures reduce the amount of dust or fluid that could have harmful effects on the computer when situated on a production line.

More and more organisations are roll out LCD TVs for shop floor, they are being used for corporate demonstrations, for displaying the company presentation.

All this in the middle of an economical slowdown! Several projects recently run included 1 project for Southern Rail, this was to protect LCD displays up to 42″ - man what are they doing? Watching TV at work…only joking, this is to monitor the CCTV systems throughout each station.

Many manufacturers such as Ford Motors are also rolling projects like these out, so if you were to install a delicate LCD dispaly on a shop floor it will certainly need protecting.

We currently have 5 main projects with partners all over the globe, including Australia, America, China and Russia. This new product is the only solutions for protecting LCD displays in hostile environments.

Our range of LCD enclosures can be seen by clicking the link.

As more and more businesses evolve, they realise that they need to increase their corporate image, this is how the new technology of digital signage started, with a company sign. The European digital signage market will be worth an estimated $1 billion by 2012, with the US digital display signage market worth an estimated $3.5 billion by 2011.

America has been at the fore front of digital signage solutions for years, by providing bus advertising, LCD signage, outdoor advertising, digital billboards, airport announcements and video walls.

No matter were we are in the world, just look around and take note of the electronic signs around us. The best digital signage I have seen is at Dusseldorf airport – man the digital advertising is awesome, the outdoor signage meets you when you exit the taxi’s even before you get in to the airport!

  1. Digital signage technology consists of Digital signage advertising and is becoming huge business, as it can be controlled by 1 person for up to 1,000 LCD sign, you do need some special signage software but we will come to that later. Digital signage becomes less labour intensive and more profitable.
  2. So what do you need to get started? A digital signage system comprises of digital displays, no matter if it is plasma screens or LCD TVs, then you need the software, an LCD enclosure (that will protect the display from dust, dirt and rain) for any outdoor digital signage and a computer that the user can control. This can be controlled by an internet connection or wireless network, giving the user the benefit of wireless digital signage.
  3. Once you have decided on the location, the LCD enclosure has to be sited, (bolted to the floor and cabled up; network and power). Then the display is installed in to the enclosure along with the computer. Now the user has to create media content, this is then sent via the internet `now be working.
  4. Computer Security & Solutions work with a company who have created their own digital signage software, this enables the end user to create digital media (sometimes called digital signage content) for their digital sign. So no matter if it is a video wall (the displays can be tilled) or just a single digital billboard, this software is idiot proof, ensuring a professional digital signage design is achieved with minimal effort. The end result is dynamic digital signage that corporations would pay $1,000s for. The software can control up to 1,000 displays, they can all be the same or different, this is what makes this software unique.
  5. The plasma display/LCD enclosures protect the plasma screens from the weather as well as vandalism; there would be nothing worse than finding that the $3,000 Plasma TV or LCD TV had been smashed by a vandal. The enclosures offer Industrial protection and are cooled by special filtered fan units, so once they are sited, set and forget!

As technology advances, so does digital display systems, in 2011 digital signage businesses will be booming, it will be like the gold rush!  Because it enables all businesses to advertise on a level playing field, you will see digital signage displays in schools, retail outlets (so you can see the demo of the product they are promoting), banks (to see what is the best account for you) video walls and outside advertising displays.

The LCD enclosures manufactured by Computer Security & Solutions have been installed at railway stations, factory floors, airports and on sides of buildings, coupled with the signage software, makes the signage systems complete. This is not Powerpoint digital signage, this is the next level in digital signage and allows you to create unlimited free digital signage.

Computer Security & Solutions digital signage packages include free digital signage software when any LCD enclosure is purchased, or you can purchase the software separately, together they make the ultimate in LCD digital signage.

The protective enclosures manufactured can accommodate a single LCD display or up to a video wall of 9 displays x 42″ screens.

In November 2007, Computer Security and Solutions received an enquiry from a supplier to the Ministry Of Defence, with a brief to custom manufacture an enclosure to accommodate a TFT monitor in an explosive environment. As it was to be sited in an explosive environment, the unit needed some unusual cooling and exhaust facilities.

And this made it a task that not all enclosure manufacturers could deal with; however Computer Security and Solutions stepped up to the plate.

The company’s enclosure designers came up with a design that was subsequently approved, and received an order for nine units in the company’s standard colour. These were completed and shipped to the customer in February 2008.

By the end of March 2008, Computer Security and Solutions had received an enquiry for 270 of the same units, in a “corporate colour”.

This was duly quoted, and in April 2008, the company received the order for 270 units from the UK Ministry of Defence.

Since then, the US military has been in contact looking for similar units, and Computer Security and Solutions has secured a contract for the next 18 months to supply bespoke enclosures for IT equipment.

According to Graham Gallagher of Computer Security and Solutions: “We put our success down to plain customer service - by listening to the customer and then giving them a solution to their problem. This is missed by so many companies, we are told by our customers”.

“We are also to launch a range of LCD/plasma TV enclosures for factory shop floors, at the end of June, so keep your eyes open for some fantastic deals”.

The standard TFT and LCD enclosures protect from dust and fluids ensuring the hardware inside is protected to IP66 and NEMA4.
